  • Valuing the individual

    Each of our residents has an important life story, which we want to learn and understand. By spending time listening to residents along with their family and friends, we create and capture each person’s experiences and include this in their personalised folders. This helps us tailor our care to the needs of each of the individuals.

    We encourage family and friends of our residents to get involved in our residents’ daily lives and they’ll always receive a warm welcome when visiting loved ones.

  • Support

    There is a wide range of care and support At Cedar house. We provide a wide range of care including care for the frail, elderly and specialise in Dementia Care. Care is available 24 hours a day supported by a team of qualified experienced staff.

    We also provide residential, respite, convalescence and palliative care along with residential and dementia care.

  • Specialist Training

    Cedar house is run by an experienced qualified manager who is a Registered Nurse specialising in Mental Health. There is also a qualified and experienced Deputy Manager. The staff team also comprises of a team of qualified and experienced carers, who are available 24 hours a day to ensure all the residents’ needs are attended to.

    Yearly training is provided to all staff covering all mandatory topics including Dementia Care, Health & Safety, Lifting and Handling, Infection Control, Fire Safety, First Aid, Food Hygiene, Safeguarding etc. All staff are encouraged to participate in NVQ Training in Care.

  • Care and Hygiene

    Cedar house maintains the highest standards of care and hygiene; all the rooms are monitored and cleaned daily. We believe that a comfortable and clean environment is the key in helping the resident feel at home.
